    Debby,

Your scaring me over this stuff. I eat a lot of different foods that I probably don’t want to know where it came from. I like to quote the scripture that say “eat any deadly thing it wont hurt you”. Sometimes I do pray harder over my food than in other places. LOL

      Hey Debby,
This is a great reminder to us all to support our local organic food growers!! It is apalling to think what damage some of these pesticides can do to your body.

      Thanks for a great post!

It’s good to be aware of. It’s not possible always to eat local depending on where you live.
But I will get into that more in latter posts! (-:

Yes Debby, I hear you loud and clear. As a food scientist I am well aware of these issues. I strongly believe that if we would have invested the time and money that we have in research, in finding more environmental solutions, we would be living a much healthier lifestyle today than we are. But unfortunately, speed and convenience win over health. Strange choices we make for our selves and our kids!

Yep … what’s going on is true. It’s best if you can grow your own food – but not everyone can, so you have to educate yourself. Makes me cry, so sad…

              Hi Debby,
It is a frustrating process to find fresh veggies & fruit that is relatively toxic-free, so your post definitely hit home with me, and I greatly appreciate you sharing this info. Christine

                      Debbie,
I had heard from my nutritionist the advice about local produce and buying from farmers markets being much healthier, but never really appreciated the scary facts behind all of this. Thanks for presenting this excellent information. And also for the very helpful clean and dirty lists, much appreciated!
