How To Cook The Perfect Dark Rice / Black Asian Rice Salad

How To Cook The Perfect Dark Rice / Black Asian Rice Salad

I’m back in the kitchen with the best “black Asian rice salad” recipe I know you are going to love it! Mom and I like to eat lunch out at this nice little Cafe called “Cafe 27″ in Stevens Point Wisconsin most of what they serve is organic. When you order a sandwich you will get 3 small salads on the side in which, you don’t know what they are going to be until you get your plate. Mom and I usually try our best to figure out “how did they make this?” Everything is so good and a bit different which makes me keep wanting to come back for more. (By the way that’s not a bad tip for Network Marketers, how are you keeping your customers coming back for more?) Anyway, this is where I was inspired to try my hand at making this simple “black Asian rice saladand with the help of my mom we came up with a really good easy side dish, lunch or snack!  Check It Out!

Asian Black Rice Salad

Brown rice is the best way to have rice. It is rich in essential nutrients, fatty acids and fiber. The fiber content in brown rice is valuable as it helps regulate blood sugar levels and aids elimination. According to the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, the fiber content in brown rice helps weight loss and is helpful in weight maintenance. A study found that women who consistently ate brown rice weighed lesser than those who ate white rice.

My Super Anti-Sugar Hero Fix, Organic Stevia Is Here To Save The Day!

My Super Anti-Sugar Hero Fix, Organic Stevia Is Here To Save The Day!

Me with a cup of tea on a cold May afternoon using Stevia extract!

Just a few days ago I was on a quest at my local supermarkets to buy a can of black beans. All three markets that I went to, every can of black beans had sugar in it. I couldn’t believe how hard it was to find an ordinary plain can of black beans without sugar. I ended up going to my local co-op and found organic black beans along with a much higher price tag. Sad!

Do you know that the average American eats one cup of sugar every day, or 210 pounds a year! It’s a fact when any label that claims to be “no fat” or “low-fat” has high levels of sugar listed on it which will be stored in your body as fat anyway.

I don’t know how “hardcore” I’m going to get with this “anti-sugar” pilgrimage mind-set, but I know after reading, “The Healing Powers Of Enzymes” by Dr. Fuller, I forever will view sugar as highly detrimental to my health.

So with that said I’m like everybody else…I like my sweets! What can I do that’s going to help me overcome this dilemma? Whole foods are – the – best – such as dried fruits using them to sweeten salad dressings, and  my steel cut oats in the mornings. The other option that I’ve found and I’m using when needed is, “Organic Stevia Extract” my “super anti-sugar hero fix”!

What is Organic Stevia?

Stevia is a shrub in the sunflower family, native to tropical regions. It’s commonly referred to “sweetleaf” due to the sweetness of the leaves. Stevia Extract (this is what I use) has up to 300 times the sweetness of sugar and yet it has low or no affect on your blood glucose. If this isn’t good enough read this.. Stevia has NO calories! Stevia also contains protein, fiber, complex carbohydrates and vitamins which means…it’s good for you (within limits of course).

Wellness, what does it mean to you and how important is it to you? That’s what you have to ask yourself. When you are young and you feel good eating (digesting) sugar unconscionably it doesn’t seem like a big deal, but staying on a path of unconscious destructive eating will compound over time creating Hugh health issues.

Likewise making conscious effort to change the way we view food (sugar) and make simple wellness choices everyday will compound over time creating significant wellness results! It’s “The Slight Edge” working for you or against you by the choices you make.

How To Change Your Relationship With Food And The Help Of “Plant Enzymes!”

My lunch, mixed greens with roasted nuts, O. Oil and a blue berry vanilla protein shake!

My whole life I have been obsessed with weight, looking and feeling good, it’s truly my passion. Over the years I have read countless books on diets and nutrition, but I’ve never read much of anything on Enzymes. Dr. Fuller says, “over one-third of Americans are overweight. We spend over thirty billion dollars per year on exercise  and diet pills, all because we are trying to get rid of the fat cells in our bodies.” And yet the obesity rate has gone up. What’s worse  our grade school children are suffering from chronic health conditions due to bad food and the lack of plant enzymes and exercise.

The food in which has become our “standard quo”, is mostly processed fast fatty foods loaded with sugars and chemicals. This, so called food is dead before you eat it (the lack of enzymes) which is why one third of American population is feeling tired, stressed, bloated and sick with all sorts of health issues.  Digestion and absorption of enzyme rich foods is essential to living a healthy quality life. Dr.Fullers says, “Enzymes are the, “catalysts, the dynamic power that give us our ability to function at the highest level of good health.”

To eat all the Enzymes needed to function at premium level, we would have to become rabbits! When was the last time you saw a rabbit? Have you ever petted a rabbit? Rabbits fur is so soft, shinny, thick and healthy and they live outside in hollow logs… for crying out load.  Well no wonder they’re beautiful animals, their diet comes from raw natural plants loaded with Enzymes. The point is, our over –  processed – fast –  sugar –  foods lacking  in natural Enzymes will age us prematurely, and bring on heart disease, diabetes, obesity, stressed gallbladder, depression and chronic fatigue just to name a few.

What is the solution? Well, for me I had to change my mind set on food and my relationship with food. I had to decide what was really important to me and what kind of life I want to live. I love what Tony Robbins says, “everything we do is to change the way we feel.” If being out of breath with a broken down immune system causes emotional pain, then I would look at died – lifeless –  sugaring –  fast –  over processed –  food  as pain. What do we want to do with pain? We want to get out of pain as fast as we can!

Taking natural plant based Enzyme supplements before meals, with meals, after meals and before bed along with dumping all simple carbohydrates in the garbage will begin a natural cleansing process. You will become energized, shed unwanted weight, boast your immune system, lower your cholesterol, your hair will begin to shine, nails grow strong, eyes become stronger, skin and all other life sustaining organs will begin to function they way God created them to.

We have to go home… start at the beginning, by being nice to ourselves, love ourselves, love our family and love our life, enough to change our life.
