I’m very excited because of the life changing possibilities that have come my way this year.  I want this blog to be a place for you to be refreshed, strengthened and renewed.  Your everyday, ordinary life – your sleeping, eating,  going-to-work, and walking-around life-let your mind be renewed !

Feel the fresh air, the breeze that blows through your hair over your skin wrapping around you. Do you know what that is? It’s LIFE. You were born to live life freely and abundantly every day, what a great gift this is!   Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without thinking, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity. Look inside yourself,  be changed from the inside out until the best of you comes out, well developed, formed and matured.

I would like to tell you my story.  I was born in Goshen Indiana..My mom was a Cripe and my dad a Beachy (the name that I still have) they came together and created this little family of two Jesse and myself.  I felt very loved and cared for as a little kid. Mom and dad freely gave hugs and kisses, Jesse and I were normal siblings.  When I look back at the beginning,  I had smiles, warm feelings  from the top of my head to the tip of my toes, in my little eyes our life was wonderful!

By the time I turned 10 years old all that changed,  I don’t want to go into all the details but, let’s just say life as I knew it came tumbling  down…fast! I lost my dad and my brother within 6 months time,  my dad due to disease and my brother through unexpected tragedy.  All the warmth and security as I knew it was gone over night.  I was left with a mother full of grief and fear of the the future.

So let’s skip a few years (almost 40 to be honest) I have 7 grown children of my own,  it’s hard to believe I will be turning 50 next month but it’s true.  In the 30 plus years raising the kids I have grown to be a strong believer of inner growth.  My belief system is structured in the firm foundation of Jesus and his true,  never-ending  wisdom, love, joy and peace!

When the kids were growing up I wanted to contribute financially to my family, but I knew that I was never going to work outside the home.  In the mid 80′s I started a window treatment business, I worked with interior decorators and independently, the job was great because I was able to use my creativity.  In the 90′s we moved to mid Wisconsin (where I now live) which I call the “man state” due to all the fishing, hunting, camping, nobody is interested in window treatments to say the least.  I went to our University (UWSP) and talked with some people at our Small Business Development Center. I learned the town needed a good cleaning service-Hummm-cleaning service? I started on my own and ended up with many employees working over 3 counties for 10 years,  what a business journey!

Many people over the years have told me, I need to write a book. I’ve asked my husband what is it with me that attracts people? Tim said, (my husband) it’s your spirit and that bright smile of yours, it shines. My friend at the university that played such an important role with my business said to me one day over coffee, Debby, “you know what it is about you, it’s your personality, people trust you because of your winning personality”.

Attraction marketing, little did I know then what it was. My inner spirit shinning forth with great force brought people to me! I had keys to people’s homes coming through the mail,  to me! Clients wanted me to open their lake cottage before they arrived, they didn’t even know me. I had a website and they might have had a friend that lived on the lake and that’s all it took.

The kids have gone on with their lives and I have gone online to a new way of thinking, once again. Old-fashioned values are still with me though, strong work ethic, priorities, fair-minded and creativity.  You will learn each week new insights to your soul when you become my regular blog friend.  Lets share ideas, thoughts, comments, videos and show off our authenticity! God has created us all equal, but with different talents it’s exciting, the possibilities are endless!

Well…as for writing my book if you noticed I left 40 years out of this small autobiography and about 250 years before I was born. My daughter said to me the other day on the phone, mom you need to write your book and title it “Beachy” I said, why Beachy? She said, because it’s who you are…I thought about it,  but I think a better title would be “Amazing Grace”,  I made the choice to live and live with abundance! My feet are on solid ground but my heart and soul run free with the breeze in pure delight!
